Female
Tattoos
Female tattoos used to be very rare with very few women
having them done, but nowadays they are much more socially
acceptable. Indeed they are now extremely fashionable, in no
small part due to many high-profile celebrities such as
Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Penelope
Cruz and Victoria Beckham deciding to have them done.
Tattoos are no longer the
preserve of men. Nowadays they are just as popular with women
and are widely regarded as being sexy and attractive. They act
as a great way to show off a women's personality and character
traits, whilst at the same time looking cute and
attractive.
Tattoo designs for women often
differ from those found on men because they are generally quite
small and attractive. It's rare to find a big bold tattoo on a
women and when you do it often looks out of place or
inappropriate.
Because female tattoos are often
quite small, they are ideally suited to particular parts of the
body such as the ankle, foot, hip, shoulder, upper arm and
wrist. They also look great on the lower back and back of the
neck.
There are many types of tattoo
design that are popular with women. There are the classic
female tattoo designs such as butterflies, fairies, flowers and
hearts, as well as more fashionable designs such as
dragonflies, dolphins, stars and zodiac designs. Also women are
now being drawn more and more to Celtic and other tribal
designs, which have long been seen as being traditionally male
tattoo designs.
The important thing to remember
is that a tattoo is for life so try and avoid tattoos that
could well turn out to be a passing fad. The last thing you
want is to be stuck with a tattoo that looks out of place and
seriously uncool in a few years time.
For the very best female tattoo
designs I strongly recommend paying a small one-off fee to
either Chopper Tattoo or
Tattoo Me Now. Both of these
excellent sites have thousands of top quality designs to
choose from, many of which have been submitted by some of
the top tattoo artists from around the world, so they are
obviously top quality designs, and certainly a lot better
than those found on many of the free tattoo galleries.
